I  was thinking how nice it would be to be able to choose a 2nd choice golf ball out of your bag to use when you run out while playing in any mode game.  Usually i try to stock up before i start a round ,but occasionally i forget and run out , the house balls are just not the same and can ruin a many good round . Would really be nice to be able to take them out all together. Most players have several different types of balls in the bag, just wondering if something like that idea could be in the mix for future consideration.

Why not just allow the player to purchase more balls in the middle of the round..?

That seems like the simplest solution..

Nice but not very realistic. I've never seen a ball shop halfway round any of the courses I've played. I guess after the 9th you may be close enough to the clubhouse to run in and buy some but you'd have to leg it to avoid annoying the following group.

Let's face it, WGT is actually cutting us a big break here.  Being allowed to play on, regardless of how crap the ball is, is better than being disqualified isn't it?

You can, say you have 1 callaway left and u started a round. While callaway active, you can buy 3 more and it will replenish to you. Now, if you use up the callaway, it sets to a default ball and if you buy callaway after, you will have 3 callaways but because it switched to default ball already, it will not switch back.

I know this is not answering the underlying concern, but as b0geybuster have said, it has been discussed many times and I am not sure if it will change down the line

Seriously?  Hell, I don't want to hear anyone ever say WGT is unfair to us again.

Idont think any1 is saying that wgt is unfair about the ball policy, im just saying if you had an option to take the free balls ( x-outs) out the bag completely, you could buy a dozen b-es balls to be your run out balls (2nd choice balls) and wgt still gets ahead. do the math baby.....when you pay your dues so to speak i think you deserve that option. It,s not a bad one........

I definitely think that a ball tier system is completely viable instead of having to resort to the generic ball.

I know I personally hate running out of durability or losing a ball to a hazard and then having to place the rest of the holes with a crummy backup.

Then keep your bag stocked. Blaming the game for your non-preperation is hardly fair. The rules of the game are available to anyone who cares to read them.
