can't use Subway card ?

  I tried to buy 25.00 on a subway gift card like i usually do.  It will not accept it. prompt says that i have to sign up (enter email and password). also "pay usd  ****". It no longer will accept subway cards unless bought from subway.   ?? what is happening? Please contact me at my email.

  Why post it in the open forums? Even the few mods who might read it can't really help you. Click on help/FAQ button at the bottom of the page and when it loads click on Help Request link and let customer service know what it going on. Maybe they can help you, 

  But I only used a Subway card once. It was such a hassle to use.

  Oy, this is not good. I use Subway cards for credits AND prizes in the CC. I get them wherever they're sold, too. Never had issues redeeming them but haven't done so recently.

  Just tried it, and it let me skip that step.  The "USD" is as I remember it always has been. I was able to get to the point of needing to enter a Subway gift card number but didn't have one to enter.  I usually just stop at a subway to get the gift cards but have in the past bought them at the local grocery store and loaded them at check out and they have worked everytime,  however, I don't remember seeing this before...

   

  We only accept SUBWAY® cards purchased in a SUBWAY® restaurant (online or 3rd party cards not accepted).

   

  
  

  Here's what was there on the screen that I would enter the card number...

  SUBWAY® DIGITAL STORE

  1.  You are buying a $5.00 USD WGT Certificate 
  2.   Your certificate is automatically redeemed in payment of your World Golf Tour, Inc. purchase
  3.   You may redeem up to 5 store purchased gift cards with 'Add Another Card

   

  Maybe I'll get one from the grocery store this weekend to try out.  Worst case, it doesn't work and my kids get a Subway gift card to use for lunch lol.

  Are you saying you saw this? I did the same thing you did after reading the post and got all the way to the enter info page like normal. I didn't have a card to enter but it was waiting for me to. I never saw the bolded statement along the way.

  This would seem be a new requirement from Openbucks who is acting as a banker for WGT in this kind of transaction. Think of Openbucks as Visa or Mastercard. For a fee paid by WGT, Openbucks will get cash from the Subway escrow account and pass it on to WGT. With so many fraudulent cards and  scanners it is quite possible that Openbucks has found the best way to work with Subway cards is to demand that they be purchased directly from Subway.

  Just did it all they want is for you to go to your email and confirm your email address it still works

  With a Subway card you didn't get at Subway?

  Well, it just worked for a Subway card that I just bought at Kroger (local grocery store).  Funny, didn't really need to buy the credits but I did just win a Seemore putter on ebay and now that they are offered on WGT, guess you know what that means LOL.  

  Free sleeve of Cally's as well but I will ask WGT to switch it out with yellow callys even though they're cheaper.  ;-)
