I want to know how anybody can go into the low 50's honestly.  It can't be done.  Has anyone out there SEEN anyone have one of these low or mid 50's round.  I have asked everyone I play with and nobody has ever seen anybody really do it.  The lowest I have seen/heard of honestly is 59.  Something sounds real fishy to me.

I agree because these courses don't ever play the same way twice....so you can't benefit from playing a course a lot.

I have been told its my starter clubs costing me good scores, but I disagree. because I should be able to compensate and post a good round despite the club issue if I've played a course enough times.

There is no way anyone can post consistent low scores honestly.....I don't give a s**t WHAT kind of clubs they have.

The only reason clubs make that much of a difference on this game is because they want you to spend your hard earned dough to buy better clubs, and I'm not doing that because I've never received the credits owed to me for surveys and other things I've done to get credits for free, so I'm sure as hell not risking real money! If money is the only way they will let a game be fair to a player, then I'll stick with my 79 avg and crappy clubs because thats a crock .

I admit it.  I cheated when I shot my 58.

    I used an auto-clicker-dinger-finder-putt-maker-wind-compensator program.

Pretty neat, all I had to really do was log on to WGT, and hit "play".

Last week, i played cabo and was -17 after 17, bogeyed 18. 3 others were in the game with me. I had 3 eagles I(hole with a flop), and my 3 of the 4 par 3's approaches were inside 4ft. I was dinging or missing on the right side all game. Even dinged my approach on 18, just made a mistake in what club I hit/where I aimed and got punished for it

I have also, in past, had 56 with 1 other person, 57 with another and numerous 58's. This is all on highest tiers and my first 56 came on master tees with rapture's v1 and bx balls I think.

    Is it possible? of course....

It can be done is is regularly achieved by the great players on here. My lowest round until now is 60, 10 under par and I did it at Royal St. Georges. I lipped out on 5 holes and left 1 shot 3 inches short in the jaws of another. 2 of the birdies could have been eagles. If all the lip outs and the 1 in the jaws dropped it would have been a 52. I know it can be done because I was millemeters from doing it.

I will shoot a 52 someday, I just need to practice some more and consume the right amount of alcohol and it will happen. I can also guarantee there is nothing fishy about it at all, these great players can do it and I'm sure that you will antagonize them with statements that borders on calling them cheats.

I noticed in your stats that you have only completed 13 rounds of 18 holes, with more practice I'm sure you can get in the 50's too.

That's like owning a Kia and saying there's no way Sebastian Vettel can go round a track that fast, no matter what he's driving.  There's probably at least 10-12 shots difference in an 18 hole round between beginners clubs and balls and the best out there.  Put those clubs and balls in the hands of a really good and experienced player and the difference will double.

Until you've hit a Callaway Tour ball right at the flag with a really good 3 iron you can't begin to understand the difference between the beginners gear and the top level stuff.

It's possible, just takes a LOT of practise.

I played that round with icon .. he was on fire.   the other players shot 58, 60 and 61.   I've played with a lot of folks who score low.    You guys who haven't seen it are just plain wrong.

You are very wrong in thinking that you can't know the course conditions by playing it a number of times.  While it is true that the wind is random, playing it a few dozen times gives you a feel of pretty much all the wind directions and how the effect your ball.

The real key though is putting.  That doesn't change from game to game.  If you know the greens and where the breaks are you are able to putt better and also know where to hit the ball for the easy putts.  Play Congressional a few times, there are at least four holes that have backstops that return the ball almost to the hole, it's a matter of knowing where to land the ball on the green and if you do so you end up with a putt from a few feet.

I'm not in the class of the players you are talking about, but I have played with many of them and witnessed great scores from them and usually it is because of their putting.  I struggle to make 8 to 10 foot putts while their routinely knock in 20 footers.

I qualified for the US Open for the past few years and I have a 58 posted for the British Open this year, I qualified for it last year as well.  I play a lot and while I don['t chart the greens as thoroughly as many, I do try to remember the subtle breaks and ridges that are important to play away from or at.

If you want to be a good player you have to do all these things and you have to have the best clubs and balls available.  If you are here to have fun, nothing more is required than what WGT has given to you.
