In a certain sense you might think of Icon as someone who went over to the Dark Side ... as an ambitious player who went in-house. Before that he was a leading scholar of the game, crafting the famous bible on the short game - perhaps the only truly essential thread anywhere in this forum. I think of him as the player's advocate in the Big House, having tilled the fairways and rough, bunkers and greens, as one of the many. Sweat of the brow type of thing, &c, &c.
coming from you, that's quite a compliment:).

..an entertaining Twitch / WGT streamer.
or not so much now, but his broadcasts were enjoyable, informative and fun.
I remember a great number of the WGT community would join in the chat box on twitch. Icon would play against different members. He gave tips, told jokes and created a sense of unity among us.
My opinion is that if Icon would stream more often it would be a win/win for the company and its players.
He would be transmitting/advertising a game to the Twitch network which, last time I checked, has a Alexa rating of 12 (USA) making it almost as popular as websites like Instagram, Ebay, Twitter and Netflix. Surpassing Linkedin, Craigslist, Pornhub, ESPN, Paypal and Pinterest !
I am not sure if I ever admitted this, but twitch games were quite difficult on me... for one, it takes some time to keep things interesting, especially if your opponent is not very talkative, you know? not only I have to explain things that are basic to me, but many times when I explain, I use certain terms and assumptions that are hard to follow
i much prefer to answer specific questions.....
of course, having a double eagle live on twitch was super epic... when I was trying to explain a very different shot I was trying to hit and hit so early...
I wouldn't mind doing some live ones too, but I think the reason we stopped (well, i am sure there were more) is that our audience was actually decreasing and it's prob due to me, not being exactly the most fun commentator :)
