OK...so the preeminent sponsor in all of professional golf, Titleist, now has a presence in THE BEST virtual golf game on the planet.  This makes me wonder why I still see people poking jabs at WGTChampion about him wanting to puke over the excitement of this news.  Why am I wondering???  Well...

    1) Maybe with Titleist "on board" they'll help to infuse "goodness" back into OUR game...and hopefully some development cash.

    2) Maybe we'll see Titleist clubs, and not only balls, in the near future...and hopefully high level irons with a slower meter speed.

    3) Maybe Titleist's influence in the world of golf will help WGT TopGolf leverage their ability to sign on new courses.

    4) Maybe the future of the game isn't just the "mobile" platform.

    5) etc. etc. etc.

Let's look at this introduction of Titleist into OUR game from a glass half full perspective...

    Imagine the possibilities!!!!!

The only thing I find unusual about this is why would Calloway, who owns 14% of TopGolf, be willing to sit back and let Titleist and Taylor Made get the spotlight so to speak...not the Cally golf company I remember from the 90's LOL

You know Titleist clubs will be right behind this..

Excitement!  Titleist on board!  Now let's see if I can afford any of those balls.  Late getting on here today.

I think Callaway realizes the golfing world just doesn't revolve around them.  An influx of cash from wherever will help them to profit in the near term and long run.  The more big players in this can only mean better things to come for us.  And we know there will be people moaning about the price of the Titleist balls (and future gear to come), but, watch the bags fill up as the majority of players on here don't whine...they just pay and play.

Ok, I wasn't aware that Ely Calloway had died....in fact a lonnnnng time ago LOL

It was more about letting TM take the spot held by the Nike balls than Titleist coming aboard...Cally figured out nobody could wrestle the ball title from Titleist....Cally also owns Odyssey and Hogan, and I believe a piece of Srixon/Cleveland at one time

TM owns Adams...which leaves only Cobra as the outsider since Titleist sold them some time ago....

Lot of name brands here but only 2 motherships, Titleist should be a very welcome addition, albeit expensive LOL

Here's one to stir up the forum ....... instead of making the meter slower for the higher level players aand enabling them to post even lower unrealistic scores, why not speed up the meter on the high level clubs and set them a real challenge !!

    Now that would be novel

Fine if you want to think that way.  By the same token then, they can make higher level, slower meter senior clubs for us old folks.  Our reaction time just isn't what it used to be.  They do that now IRL with the shafts on RL clubs.  Except mine aren't, but then again it's tough to get out on the course IRL anymore.
