    Hi Everyone

Had a few weeks off with the Ryder Cup starting but that's in full swing now. Please find the updated table below.

Pretty quiet at the top with the same guys still hitting consistently well. Thunderbird continues his charge rising 2 further places to number 4 and massive strides taken by smoothswinger to climb 5 places to number 6.

The big movers and there for form players this month are fezdog12 and steel4rce both up 16, jakestanfill7 up 13, Chris Crosby up 11 and craig85 and BolloxinBruge both up 10. Well done to all these guys for consistent good play.

Highest new entry this week is schanck11 at number 31, which is very good going. Congrats to slor, cy16, melli22631 and Egolily for also breaking in.

I wish you all good playing this week

These rankings are based on single play, stroke play competition. Every 18 hole single play competition has been included, since they started in April of this year. The scores are from the original Amatuer tier and the new Masters tier, the top tier of players.

The top 50 players each competition get points. The top 50 players are defined by those that finish on the front page of the results . If you are tied with the person in 50 th place but not on the front page, tough.

For the weekly comps the points are divided up in almost exactly the same fashion as shown on the WGT prize distibution tables, please see table below. Where scores are tied the points are shared evenly.

The weekly competitions are worth a total of 30 points. The one major of the year was worth 80 points and the International Monthlys were worth 50. However as the International Monthlys have changed format these are now excluded and  I am now  including the 9 hole single play weekly which is worth 20 points.

You cannot enter this competition, if you score well as a Master, your score is automatically entered.

LOL What's the matter, didn't want my big blank spot to take over #1?

    Very funny.

You are not No 1 tibs although you have been playing very very very well lately. Your poor run of form throughout the NAC let you down. I actually took you out completely after the last set as it seemed a bit daft having a hole. If you would like to be reinstated I would be more than happy because it does seem a pity having one person missing.

Hi Iconian, the above points system is based on accumulated scores since I started the rankings and I would probably run it Jan-Dec. However it does take time up and I will probably finish this year to see who wins and then knock it on the head.

It was a real pity that we lost a valuable member and really nice person like ncvic.  For someone like that to feel they had to leave the site is terrible. Who ever was responsible should be ashamed.

Well Paul I'm not totally gone ;). Just needed a break from the site. Noone really drove me away, it was a combination of many things. More to do with what I wanted not anyone else. I still come around and check out the forums a few times a week. So I'm here in spirit. Once the temp falls below my comfort level this year I may start playing again. My real world game is getting too good to stop now, X-20 irons are lovely btw!

Great job with the rankings. Are recent performances weighted more heavily? Not that I'm top-50 worthy but my play has improved considerably through practice and equipment upgrades.
