A lot of times when I am in the rough around the greens, the ball will not go as far (sometimes 0 yards) as it should. As I understand it, the 40-50% means that the shot will go 50% as far as I set the disance, but then it just doesn't. The game needs to be more accurate with how far the ball goes.

    hi,

we need ya to provide more details, such as:

    1. what club do you hit,

    2 how much power,

3 what type of shot (pitch, chip, etc)

    4. what hole/course/how far are you from the flag

we can then see where the problem lies and tell you what you can try to correct it

That would be incorrect.   The 40-50% only indicates how much of the ball is covered by the rough.  You will need to learn how much to add to this shot.

Secondly, do not chip if you are more then 1-2 yds of green, it will go no where fast.

    Cheers,

The first bounce has to land on the green for a chip to work. Use a pitch shot AFTER you go read the Chip and Pitch tips. WGTIcon wrote it.  GL
