Just curious I have around 1500 credits just wondering what are you opinions on the first set of clubs to buy.  I might wait for the Pro set but wondering if it would be better to wait for the 25+ rapture set when I get enough money.

    Jay,

A good question that has been asked 100s of times. Has been answered as many as well. Different opinions from alot of the guys. Your best bet is to go to the FAQ---------> section and read up on it. then decide which suits you best. You'll find alot of info on this and any other questions you might have, some good some not so good.

    Good Luck

    Dick

    heres what I did

first purchases...R11 Driver and Anser pudder..Really dropped my scores by 5-10 shots over 18 holes.

Then once I hit lvl 37 bought the Taylor Made Irons then at lvl 39 bought the Z wedges which are totally amazing.  I purposely leave myself the correct yardages for my scoring irons when I can and generally shoot low to mid 60's.  Loving this new setup

What i did was wait til i got to Level 25 and then i purchased the Ping Rapture V2 Full set for 2718 CR and then Ping Anser putter for 400 CR

I can honestly say that they have helped to improve my game no end and was well worth the wait and expense.

    Hope that helps mate

    I'd start with satin wedges.

I was torn between the Rapture or R11 with the Burner Plus iron set, putter Taylor Spider.

Everybody has a little different thought as to what is better.

Taylor Z wedges and Taylor Spider putter was first, then I went with the rest.

R11 - 3 wood / R11 rescue wood / Taylor Made Burner Plus iron set.

The set is very easy to hit picked up the R11 Driver last, have not had an off hit with the R11 getting great distances from them as well.

Only thing I wish was when I hit a huge drive. I had not been in a "Practice Game" 321 yards with the 17 mile wind at my back, and R11 driver with the XD WGT ball.

    LOL... first set.  At 31.

I bought the Tour Plus full set at level 6, it lasted me to 48 and the Raptures.  I added the Satins 56 60 and 64, upgrading the 56 and 60 to Clevelands.  At 62 upgraded my Driver and Wood to R9s and my irons to G-10s.  Also have tried all the putters.  Went Spider first, then bought the Anser.  Hated that, went back to the Spider until I could get the lower Redwood.  Then the Rossa, and now the higher Redwood.  Don't think I will try the Ghost, as I am a feel putter and was told the Ghost isn't as good for feel putting.  But I can't wait to get to the R11 3 Wood at 85 and Driver at 88.

    My Ultimate Kit -

    R11 Driver

    R11 3 Wood

    G-10 Hybrid (optional)

    G-10 Irons

    Top Cleveland 56

    Top Cleveland 60

    64 Degree??

    Redwood Putter

I am hesitant to switch 64 degree wedges.  I'm certain that Cleveland 64 is a fine wedge.  But I am as certain that I am already deadly with the Satin 64 degree.

If you havent already bought a new driver, then i would do this first. More distance of the drive= easier approach shots. I would always recommend the raptures for an iron set. Very easy to use. When you start to get really good at it, then you will have a better understanding of what you will need.

Driver first, then wedges, then Balls. once you get used to all these.. buy the Iron set that your level now matches. or wait for 1 or 2 beyond.

Daytona putters are the most popular. Look up some MASTERS profiles and you will see some have reverted BACK to Beginners/ Starter putters.

Raptures/ K-15 Irons  will keep your swing meter slower than the G10's and TM's
