After a couple of inquiries all about this process of capturing shots - scenery - maybe paranormals you see on your monitor playing the golf courses online at the WGT.com golfing website. This tootorial will walk you thru capturing the screen shot - saving and editing it - uploading to the innerwebs - and lastly how to post it all up in the wgt forums for discussionables and the likes.

    Excellent tootorials there Yancy!

Will come in handy... there's all sorts of unexplainables and such out there on these courses, and havin them reported is the first step to gettin to the bottoms and whatnots.

    Thanks for the help.

Hey Pug-do you think Yancy can handle the Snip feature? Really makes it easy to capture the undesirables.  :-)

Dunno if he's got that on his puter, but yeah... it makes grabbin a bit easier.

Personally, I use "Printkey"... an old free app that I found years ago... to do my screengrabs, but sometimes, depending on the grabbing requirementables, I use the sniptool.

The Irfanview editor/viewer has also been my choice ever since day one that I owned a puter. Everyone should have that one.

    Great idea, YJ.  :)

You can't always get the time to snip during  a round so the PRTSCR and paste in InfranView works great. Then use the Snip tool on that instead of cropping and resizing.

Totally agree on the viewer too. Can you import pictures and overlay them with it?

Ohhh... catchin yer drift now, YJ. Yes... after the grab, the snipper does make it easier to resize/crop... but Printkey allows me to eliminate those steps entirely by grabbin just what I need from the screen. I just keep it resident in the bottom toolbar thing.

Dunno what ya mean about "overlay" though...

Do Andyson stuff-get funny pictures and make scenes and stuff. I'm talking about when using IrfanView. I just got the plug ins from your link. Been using it a long time but never took the time to learn what it can do beyond what I need it for.

To be frank, the word 'snip' just makes me a lil nervous.

    LOL... well yeah.

Ummmm... I export my captchas to either Paint or Adobe Elements for rendrin's.

I-view can do simple stuff like cut/paste editing though. And there's some image-changing plug-ins you can add to it. And it can letya type text wherever ya want it on a pic... just stuff like that.

But it's REAL powerful when using it to edit "batch" files an whatnots. (alot at one time)

Simple is best though. That's why Printkey appeals to me. I dunno if there's still a free version of Printkey availables...
