I don't know if this counts as a bug.....

    But I got in to a pot bunker and no matter what I did including "perfect" contact I guess the ball was too close to the front wall and the impact of the club missed the ball completely!

    You might have been able to shoot forwards with some better wedges, so getting out sideways or backwards was probably your only option with the starter wedges.

    In those pot bunkers even with the best wedges many times the only option is to shoot backwards or sideways. Forget trying to get to the green and just get out of the bunker. Better to take bogey than to keep trying to get to the green staying in the bunker and take the dreaded other. And who knows’maybe a great approach shot goes in for birdie or gets close enough to save par. I have done both after hitting out of a pot bunker backwards.

    Now this may not work anymore, and likely not w/ bad clubs but I think it was Yancy who showed a video w/ a flop out of the bunker.

    I was brought up not to flop out of the bunker but I haven't tested things out lately.
