Well said on the response, Snaike. Defused that situation quite nicely.
Phil's got a gripe. Hell, we all do, I suppose but let me lend some credence to phil's upset. You see, I ended his 7 game losing streak last night on the ladder in what I termed "the battle of the meters." Our entire game was a comedy of scrambling to recover because of wild shots-brought on by the meter. His losing streak, for circumstances largely out of his control, just exacerbated the whole thing. We both agreed during the match that the issue was inherent to the game or flash.
This whole meter thing is quite aggravating sometimes but I have to wonder how, if this is so bad for everybody, do the top players consistently perform? They have the same problems and they somehow deal with them. I don't ding the swing often enough to get upset (although I hate losing to a genuine stutter) but to the players that have game-how do you do it? Is it possible that you're good enough to play smart, take the bogey or par brought on by the meter and move to the next hole? I suspect this is the case. For me, I use the fast swing clubs and G ball so I depend on the timing thing-getting into a groove. One meterfart and all of a sudden that groove is gone and I'm all over the place. This is where I believe the good players excel-forget it and go to the next hole.
Enlighten me, oh wisest ones..........
