Strictly referring to the PC version here:

The information is gleaned by clicking on the displayed name of any member (via the game client) that is in your group whilst you walk the wgt fairways. Try it yourself next time you are in a multi-player round.

Unaware if the above applies to other platforms.

Nothing to do with your account. Anyone can simply look to see what clubs you are using during a game and then click on the ball you use and see how many you have.

Good point actually because if you are about to send someone a sleeve and notice they have 23 balls of the one they use you will have second thoughts lol.

I don't normally look how many balls folks have....

I have done lately with Nike users though..

Interesting exercise to see who has 30 or 40 stocked up. :-)

Looking at the op's stuff is automatic for me, it's the first thing I do when I play with or against somebody. You can get an idea of what kind of player they are by seeing what they play with.

Haha, so true, you have to factor in who you're looking at. For instance, when I see a high level Champion with Ping or Satin wedges I know I'm in trouble.  ;-)

Of the subject a little bit.. Can someone tell me why a lot of players buy pass after pass after pas from for these clashes??  Is there some great reward that I’m unaware off? Wouldn’t it be much more fair if you could only use it every 4 hours!!?? It’s the club ( Georgian) that spend the most that wins it ?? What’s that have to do with GOLF????  TYVM Brian

Very off topic. There are prizes for the top CCs in the event. I don't know what they are, but one is a very good putter. A search is likely to get you a lot more info than I have unless someone knows of a good link for that info.
