    Clear intentions

What are your intentions for this day, for this month? Make those intentions clear, make them strong, make them sacrosanct, and make them happen.

Many factors can work against you. Be sure your own purposefulness is working entirely in your favor.

Well-chosen intentions power you past all the annoying, wasteful distractions. Those intentions compel you to work through whatever obstacles land in your path.

This day does not have to be another one in which nothing gets done. Decide right now what you intend to do with today, and enshrine that intention in the center of your awareness.

This day, and every day, can be filled with meaningful achievement and experience. Set your intentions, maintain those intentions, and get all those good things done.

Live your life far beyond the excuses, distractions, frustrations, and regrets. Live with intention, and live up to your highest possibilities.

    What you can gain

Whatever challenges your skills, improves those skills. Whatever challenges your beliefs, can make those beliefs even more compelling, persuasive, and rewarding.

Certainly challenges are difficult to go through. However, challenges are great to have gone through.

When a challenge comes your way, take a moment to look at it from the other side. Imagine looking back on it and seeing all you’ve gained by working through it.

The bigger and more imposing the challenge appears when it arrives, the more value you’ll have gained when it is behind you. And that experience will prepare you to conquer even bigger challenges, and to enjoy even greater rewards.

Challenges have always brought out the best in you, and will continue to do so. It’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.

Choose to give your best to the challenges. And what you gain in return will be even better.

    Let your thoughts soar

Today is a day for your thoughts to soar. Live fully in what is now and at the same time, imagine beyond it.

Focus on the goodness and value of now. Envision how you can build new richness from it all.

Make a point to see past your own narrow concerns. Consider how you can offer the best you have to offer, how you can give the best you have to give to life.

Avoid letting your thoughts get stuck on a treadmill of blame, doubt, judgment, and worry. Seek instead to welcome new perspectives, ideas, possibilities into your thinking.

Follow your natural curiosity to wonderful places. Let your love lead your thoughts into magnificent realms.

Your thoughts have great power and influence over the way your life unfolds. Free your thoughts, encourage your thoughts, enable your thoughts to soar in the most positive, beneficial ways.

    Clear destination

Don’t just dream about your dreams, don’t merely fantasize about what you want to achieve. Act on your goals, start right away, and bring them to life.

What is the path that will get you from here to there? What first step can you take today?

Just about any objective you can imagine and sincerely desire is achievable. Yet you must make a solid, immediate and continuing commitment to put in the time, to do the work.

You owe yourself more than just a string of unfulfilled wishes. You deserve the experience and satisfaction of making your dreams come to life.

Challenge yourself first to be sure you truly want it. Then push yourself to make it happen, day after day, step by step.

Give yourself a clear, brightly shining destination. And do what it takes, starting right now, to get yourself there.

    Get good work done

It is not too late, and it is not too soon. The time is what it is, the situation is what it is, and you can make progress within it.

It is not too loud, too quiet, too dark, too bright. Whatever the conditions happen to be, you can take action and get good work done.

The people you encounter are not too rude, too careless, or too inconsiderate. They yearn for meaning, fulfillment, healing, peace and joy, just as you do, and there’s much you can achieve by working together.

This day is here. Rather than scrutinizing all its imperfections, embrace its many opportunities.

The best use of your time is not in making judgments or excuses. Grab what you have to work with, put forth the effort, and something good will come of it.

This time, this situation, is here to be put to positive and productive use. Focus on what you can do, on the contributions you can offer, and make great things happen.

Used this alot with my kids, right after their answer (or announcement) about "what do I/you want to be when I/you grow up."

Excellent!  We should always encourage our children or anyone to want to be the best they can be and go for it.

    Thanks for stopping by AlaskanDame!

    Choose your perspective

In any situation, you control your perspective. You decide what to notice, what to care about, what to allow inside your head, what to keep out.

One quick thought, one small but meaningful reminder, can completely alter your perspective. What can you tell yourself, right now, that will give you a more positive and powerful outlook?

A well-chosen perspective keeps your thoughts, words, actions, and feelings in line with your best interests. Whatever the external conditions may be, your perspective enables you to make beneficial use of them.

Life is often noisy, complicated, unpredictable, and downright bewildering at times. A strong and steady perspective enables you to thrive, to achieve, to create real goodness in the midst of the maelstrom.

Ask yourself now, and often, what do you really care about? Establish and maintain a perspective that inoculates you from the turmoil of the moment.

Choose a perspective that shines a brilliant light on your best possibilities. And give yourself the power to bring those possibilities to life.

    Objective eyes

What if you could take a few steps back from yourself, far enough to get a good, objective look at the way you are? Think for a moment what you would see.

You’re well acquainted with what it’s like to be you from the inside. Imagine encountering yourself from the outside.

How would your words, actions and priorities come across when viewed objectively? What advice would you give yourself if you were to observe yourself for a while from the outside?

Stand back and take a close look at how you spend the time in each day. Objectively observe what really works for you, and what is just a waste of your time.

No, you don’t want to become obsessed with what others think of you, yet there’s much you can learn by considering your life from an objective viewpoint. You’ll gain a new appreciation for your strengths and you’ll notice areas where you can make valuable improvements.

In your imagination, every once in a while, take a step back, and take a good look. View your life, your behavior, with objective eyes, and discover new, powerful ways to move forward.

    Here is your time

This time tomorrow, what will you regret not doing today? This is your opportunity to get it done.

What have you been meaning to take care of, that you haven’t yet found the time to do? Now is when you can jump into action and do it.

This moment is too valuable to let it just slip away. It is filled with opportunities for you to make a difference.

Consider all the times when you’ve been working against a deadline and wished you had more time. Here is that time you wished for, now, today, ready for you to put to use.

Think of how great you’ve always felt in the past after a job well done. This is your opportunity to experience that rich feeling of satisfaction again as a result of your efforts.

There’s an endless list of very good reasons to seize this moment and the opportunities that are in it. Go ahead, and quickly make yourself thankful for your choice to do so.
