BIG irregularities between clubs and balls

  just played an MPC, nice game and good company but a real head scratching few holes.

  he's playing a G13-D ball with Raps, i've got the SD with G10's. so how come he's stopping the ball quicker than i can? most approaches his ball was stopping quicker than mine.

  and i'm being outdriven?  he had an R11 driver, but the same R11 3 wood and i was losing 10 yards+ to his.

  this isn't a moan because i lost, i won the game. but what's the point in spending creds on all this high perfoming equipment if in reality it's far from that?

  like i say, this isn't a moan i'd really like to hear a view from the people in the know. maybe i wasted my money when i didn't need to??

  Him outdriving you is easy-his driver is better than yours and he's using a distance ball. As far as stopping the ball you'd need to be more specific. Your G10s fly higher than his Raps and the spin works differently on them than it does on yours. In fact, you can do quite well by not using spin with those G10s because of that loft whereas he has to use it to stop the lower flying flight of his clubs.

  the driving i can get, even though i'm using a higher dot distance ball? i thought i'd be closer to his distance.

  the stopping power was obvious. i forget the number on B9 KIA, 202 off the tee? we've got 10 behind wind, he's got a 200 club in his hand and stops it within 10 yds. i hit 194 club, full bs and roll through 20 yards plus. we both hit a similar part of the green.

  i was expecting him to roll on a lot more with the lower trajectory clubs and a ball with zero spin. not the case at all.

  is it wgticon that still uses Raps? maybe for good reason.

  i know admin reads these forums, 3 games now and total *** yardages for both players. 

  sort it put WGT, something's gone wrong in the last update

  Yes, he does.

  Wind plays a big factor in your scenario too. Your shot is much more susceptible to the influence than his is. Your 194 in that wind was was way too much, back spin or no backspin. Maybe if you were using a Callaway ball you might have stopped it closer but your better play would have been to drop an iron and use top spin to run up to the hole. Tail winds and high trajectory clubs=distance. Allow for it.

  A.... he has the r11 driver  and outdiving so he was prob using a higher iron to u on approaches and mayb hitting a full shot, where as u may have been using a lower iron and having to choke dwn on it so it will run on more, also on the par 3 it could b the same thing im guessing u used ur 4 iron and took 6 yards off, so again even with full BS it will run out, he prob used a full iron again.. cant b sure as iv never used raptures but id bet thats it

  always learning, thanks for the tips :)

  but, 4 games now and all games have had bad results in yardage for each player. something is not right for some of the players on this game right now.

  yeah but surely a lower iron and lower trajectory with a no spin ball should run out further than whatever i'm using?

  it was pulling up like a callway ball.
