  The weekly tournament multiround and single play at st andrews in heavy conditions.

  To win or get even close to winning them you're gonna have to shoot at least a 29 or better.

  I tried them both and each time I had 28-30mph more or less full on headwinds for the 1st 7 holes. I'd say this was fair if everyone else was facing such shyte wind directions but they ain't are they?

  Got to the 8th and received the complimentary 28mph tailwind with pin at front.

  On the 9th I just stuck my 2 fingers up and thought f*ck this.....-4 ain't no good for sh*t.

  This is just ain't right. It seems that players with advantageous tailwinds receive an unfair advantage and these are the folks who will hit the 28's or 29's in heavy winds.

  Who's WGT balls to I have to squeeze in order to get a nice mixture of wind variations (that the usual WGT luvvies get) so that I might have a FAIR chance of hitting a 28 or 29???

  Some might say that maybe I'll get the wind in my favour at some stage. Well I've been playing these heavy wind tourneys for 9 months now and I'm still waiting for my turn at having a few tasty tailwinds thrown in to my round.

  totally agree - I've said before if winds are actually 'random' then you would get favourable winds 50% of the time, but I don't think thats the case, how often do you wait for a hole, say 9 or 10 St Andrews to load wondering if you're getting a good tailwind - and you don't?  10 - 20% of loads if you're lucky.  IMO holes have a variable that factors in the 'favourable' wind - so your 8th hole, unlikely you'll get the headwind, 9 & 10 unlikely to get the tailwind etc.  Not sure how its factored in yet but first theory is the better you are (or the better your playing the round)  the more the variable kicks in - if thats true then you're getting these bad winds cos you're so good :)

  Try it - set up a CC tourney St Andrews B9 heavy winds - load and quit and see how many times from say 20 loads you get a tailwind. on 10

  I got 3 favourable winds in 20 - maybe I'm just unlucky cos I'm not that good :)

  just played both of those and had side winds of 21+ mph for the weekly for pretty much every hole there, and 2 favourable winds on the multi (8th 31mph in my face and 9th 27 tailwind which i put in the rough lol). 31 for the single play which wont get me anywhere but played ok for a 29 on the multi. on both the par5 had 31mph in my face which was unfortunate - couldnt reach either in 2.

  Much better if they would just have the wind blow from the same direction (N, S, E, W) during a given round as it does irl.  Then at least you would know what to expect.  C

  In the multiround i got decent score with mainly crosswinds..2 tailwinds 1st and 4th...1 headwind 5th..couldn't reach in 2...to get 7 headwinds is shocking..i never heard any1 get it that bad before!!
