Doubles Alternate shot Scored Rounds

  Would really like to see doubles pairing available on an atlernate shot or nearest the hole scored round rather than on match play basis.

  Are you suggesting best ball?  Team ctth? How does AS get in the mix?  Clearly something that you are suggesting is not clear.

  Furthermore, they categorically excluded any alternative to Alternate Shot.

  Not a very practical idea, I admit, because you'd only be looking at one player taking 5 shots and the other taking 4 but AS stroke play? I could get into that.  :-)

  Unless, each player on both teams hit 9 shots for CTTH and the distances are combined. 

  Blitz scoring would be fun too but I just don't care for the ctth all that much.  

  But AS with stroke play score, now that I could get into as I prefer to keep regular score for my own game.  But I could see them doing it as best ball where one teammate knocks in a birdie and the other teammate doesn't get to putt out because the team already will get the lowest possible score for that hole. 

  But... by making everyone complete each hole then using the best hole score for each team every hole would still keep the best ball format but also allow the rounds to be counted towards ranked rounds and averages.
