Interested what everyone thinks it will take to win next weeks open championship?

    My educated guess is 114.

If I had to guess, if one round was heavy wind and the other was moderate, I'd say the winning score would be something like 117.

I really think this course will bear it's teeth playing championship greens in heavy winds. In those conditions one mistake or bad kick off the tee could prove very costly indeed. Get yourself into 70/80 and you are looking at certain bogey, possibly even worse.

I couldn't put a winning score on it as there are so many excellent players it is still likely a few of them will still score incredibly low. What I do think however is that you will see a lot more withdrawals and the vast percentage of players outwith 15 shots of the winning score.

Not sure why but i get the feeling the heavy wind and championship greens will come in to play here way more than Congressional. I will go with 122.......seems high but i really think it will be a bit of a beast.

I agree with Tiffer and Cappiest...I think the high winds and champ greens turn RSG into a monster. I'll be really surprised if it's less than 120

With 1 Rd. being high winds and the other moderate, I think that 119 would be the best. Also considering that we will get an extra 2 strokes being that it is a par70. However, with the excellent players it would not surprise me to see it be lower.

Good Luck everyone and may you all be 1 stroke behind me :).

If the winds are high and the green speed is championship, I would go with about 120 which is10 under per round.  I don't think we will see low 50's under tough conditions and at this course the wind, even at your back can hurt you by putting bunkers into play.

Good luck to everyone who has qualified for this year's Open.

I'm about 100% sure that someone is going to shoot 59-58 for a 117, so that's my guess.
