Just a curiosity since I'll be nowhere near the sharp end of this tournament - but the prize is said to be the top ten scores - but then states that there is a sweepstake only open to certain countries?

Is this based on best scores or random chance for the prizes?

    above this it states

"A 18-hole strokeplay challenge where the top ten players get 500 WGT credits each. Anyone can play, but only players in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, and South Korea will be entered into the sweepstakes drawing. No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. Please see rules for details."

    Sweepstakes drawing?

Hardly sounds like top ten finishers to me.

Yep, was curious about this myself.  The link for 'rules' only shows the picture of a Cadillac.  Maybe that's the prize?  Somehow I don't think so.. ;)

What makes me laugh, is that the top 10 finishers receive 500 credits on an unlimited play tournament.  So the guys who went through two sleeves of balls playing that thing repeatedly to shoot a 52 spent 600 in credits on legend callaway balls to win 500 credits.

    Gee...thanks Cadillac and WGT!! :)

Least it's better than the 'bragging rights' in the glenlevit where people wasted balls to qualify for nothing.

Good point. I guess the bar is set pretty low. I also just learned that I am excluded from the Ketel One Tourney prize because I live in California, but was somehow still eligible for US Open and Open Championship prizes?

JC- classic stuff!!!  God help all of us if we bothered to do the credit/ball math on some of these multi-play tourneys.

Did I miss something, It states very clear in the rules.

" NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. "

So how do I get in the tourment and have a chance to win without paying the $5 for the 500 credits.

I think you're confusing two different events.  The one you have to pay 500 credits for is the CTTH tourney on Pebble Beach, which I believe just started recently.  The tournament mentioned at the beginning of this thread ended in early August.
