WGT ahould have a pawn shop type of store where playewrs could sell their old clubs and people could but used ones as well. If that idea is no good, how about a way wewre we could sell our old clubs to friends or gift then, especially the ones who refuse to pay anything to play.

    What does everybody think?

    Two thoughts.

Yes, it's a good idea. In fact, similar ideas have been suggested previously.

No, it will never happen. It would detract from WGT's revenue stream. Simple as that.

The only way I could see something like this being put in place would be for "used" equipment be given a limited life. Someone buys or is gifted a "used" club and 6 months later the club "breaks" and is taken from inventory. Consider it a long term rental.

I honestly think it was a decent suggestion. I think you misunderstood what was being suggested.

The concept, if I understood correctly, was that if you were you acquire "used" equipment, that said equipment would have a shorter shelf life as opposed to if you purchased "new" equipment.

Just like with anything else in real life. If you purchase something used, you are not exactly sure what you are getting. However, if you purchase something new outright, you should have a pretty good idea of what you are getting.

    Don

Thats cool then you would get what you paid for lol....That works . As for me just like Cars I always buy brand new ...

Can you buy an entire chess set at a pawn shop?

No harm in airing the idea.

The company has gone the route of keeping a value on items.  They do offer a sell back value.  Some will say extortionately low but the company will disagree, and there is no shopping around.

The company will not act unless they see an unequivocally guaranteed $ in it for them, whilst considering ways it might be exploited........

    +1

And remember that these aren't real items but software licenses, and actions on these licenses are limited to the closed world of WGTland. Read the T&Cs.

We can't expect them to invest programmers' time in an idea which would lessen their revenue - that's illogical.
