Please condense the ball choices...there is no need for a separate picture for each color of ball within each type of ball

1 picture for the white ball and 1 picture for the available colors in each type of ball is all you need.  60 pictures condensed to 12.

The "Play Now" button and friends info is perfect on the Home page but on subsequent pages it really should just be a "tab" heading (to the right of Home for instance).

This would save loading time amongst other benefits.

Thank-you for the other Product Updates.

Boffmen, remember that (funnily enough) each color of the ball is priced differently, so it does make sense, to a certain degree, to show each color of the ball separately.

Not sure what you mean, but I think it's great we see the left-hand Friends panel on every WGT.com webpage. I'd hate it if the Friends panel disappeared and if I had to make extra clicks to make it visible!

    To Alex: Your welcome.

    To Faterson:

1.) When you mouse over the color the price would be included with the other info.

2.) You hating to make an extra click is like the Pope hating to say another prayer...just can't imagine it :)

Sorry, that's a lot less user-friendly... I like seeing all prizes at a glance, without having to mouse-over for them.

Sorry, but every unnecessary click is a waste of time. It can make all the difference between a site being user-friendly or user-unfriendly. Seeing the Friends panel on every WGT.com webpage, even as I'm typing this forum post, is one of the best and user-friendliest features of this site. Let's keep it that way.

Re: balls- How do you see info about the balls/clubs now...you don’t mouse over it?

Re: Play Now button and Friends info-  The column on the left is prime real estate and in better economic times you can bet an Advertisement will be there or other valuable info.

If you have multiple pages open on this site it just isn't needed...plus anyone with 165 friends (such as you) would still have to go over and use the slide bar to see all the friends.  The Friends list also appears after having clicked on Play Now, which makes it easy to see by bringing up that page too.

If there are certain aspects of the site that do not make it completely user-friendly today, that does not mean we should make it even less user-friendly tomorrow.

I bet that will not happen. The valuable info already is there: the Friends panel.

Not really. At any time, usually only 10-15 Friends are shown online, which allows me to see all of them at one glance. Don't deprive me of that very useful feature, please.

Not easy at all. Clicking on Play Now launches a pop-up window, which frequently doesn't work as expected, and is a tedious, lengthy process, often exhausting the computer's resources temporarily.

In short, the location of the Friends panel seems ideal as it is today and no changes are necessary in my view. Your mileage may differ.

Faterson How do you see info about the balls and or clubs now?

Do you Mouse over them for the info or do you Click on it for more info?

Which one in your opinion is more user friendly?

Right now, Boffmen, comparing the various types of clubs/balls is problematic and not very user-friendly. It would be even less user-friendly if prices were hidden in mouse-overs, too.

In some golf-unrelated e-shops, I saw a feature called (for example) Include This Item in Your Comparison Chart. And the site would allow you to pick, say, 5 items from the e-shop, and a final comparison webpage would display those 5 items side by side, with features listed in a table, the table rows each aligned to compare a specific feature in all 5 of those items. That would be the ideal arrangement for WGT's ProShop, too.

For now, because I started to lose orientation among the various types of balls available, I employed a workaround in saving a WGT Balls session in the Opera browser. This session opens the 6 webpages with all types of available balls on 6 tabs of a browser window, so I can quickly flip through the tabs to compare the features of the 6 available ball types. This is anything but ideal, but it's quicker than the mouse-over method, I'd say. Here is what the session looks like in Opera (after tiling the 6 tabs; you may click the thumbnail below for full size):
