Here are the release notes for last nights product update.

    Virtual U.S. Amateur – UPDATE

The Virtual U.S. Amateur Qualifier tournament concluded on Sunday, so the top 32 finishers are being placed into bracket tournaments for the final round.

This final Bracket round kicks off on Aug 29, with players competing each day through Sep 1. Only winners move on to the next match-up until only two finalists are left.

The top two players from eligible countries will win a trip to Topgolf Atlanta to compete in a live, head-to-head championship (the first ever!) to compete for WGT fame and $500 gift cards to both USGAshop.com and Topgolf.

See the Qualifier leaderboard here and stay tuned for more updates on the final round!

    Premier and Plus Memberships

About a year ago, we launched WGT Memberships as a way for players to make a one-time purchase for a year's worth of in-game benefits.

As these benefits start getting close to expiring for players, you can renew existing memberships (both Premier and Plus) for 10% off. We'll notify you when it's time to renew, but wanted to give you a heads up on the special offer so you don't miss out!

    Upcoming September Tournaments

Stay tuned for some new upcoming tournaments, including the September Virtual Tour Major and a few other special tournaments we're hosting with some of our partners.

    Fixes and Improvements

    • Buying WGT Credits through PayPal - Fixed an issue so players can successfully purchase their credits through PayPal
    • Tournament leaderboards - Now when you change a leaderboard tier, the average scores, tiers and levels will update like they should

    WGTicon:

How will the two best eligible players be chosen in case one or two ineligible players win (one of) the brackets? There are 9 ineligible players in the field, so it would be nice to know beforehand.

If, for example, bracket 1's final is between two ineligible players while bracket 2's is between two eligible players: Will both finalists from bracket 2 win the trip to Atlanta?

There are obviously many scenarios, so a clear communication of the rules would be much appreciated.

Yea, thanks so much WGT, I really appreciate the tee shot and the approach shot I was able to earn today watching videos, and it only took 25 minutes to get those 10 credits. Well done!

    Pathetic.

Just out of curiosity...by ads do you mean on the web, or mobile?  b/c I've been watching videos on mobile without issue continuously both now and since the last update.

    Exactly why I posted/asked this:

    jayw4862:

    WGTChampion:

Credit payout for advancing to the bracket stage goes to the top 32 regardless of location.

    _CHAMPION

That doesn't make any sense at all.

Paying and allowing ineligible players in the brackets is just a way to hook as many players as possible into the grinding out and restarting of rounds ($$). I'll also say that I don't disagree with paying them, as much as putting them into the brackets.

By paying the 32, are you allowing the same 32 to play in the brackets, regardless of eligibility? if so, eligible players are being robbed of a chance.

I see another Orlando fiasco coming soon.

Should've worked it out so that the top 32 (eligible and ineligible players) AND any replacements (for ineligible players) would get paid the credits. Replace ALL ineligible players, and give the qualifier and replacement player(s) whatever credits were stated.

I understand the need to make money, but you're talking what might become some very good live exposure for this game. Surely that publicity is worth making this Amateur thing legitimate.

Would I be right in thinking the use of "finishers" in the former as opposed to "from eligible countries" winning the trip means precisely that and the top 32 from the qualifier will be in the bracket?
