    i am a legend player , and have now played 537 ranked rounds since becoming a legend , but my average still doesn’t seem to be saturated. Is this correct please? I thought after 500 rounds it saturated. I am a million miles away from tiering up to tour legend , that isn’t my real aim , but I do want to become saturated so the average only ever goes down. Can anyone shed any light please ? Thank you Lesley

    I can not explain why, but WGT will count most all of your games in your stats page as “Total Ranked Rounds Played”. I know I had to play around 800 or 900 rounds before I saturated my rounds as legend.

    I don’t know why WGT call’s it “Total Ranked Rounds Played” on our stats page, it is not correct.

    Dave.

    Par 3s and Par 5 courses dont count and I dont think the Custom courses dont count either . Since they dont count towards your avg. I dont think they count towards saturation either .

    Legends saturate at 500 rounds “played within that tier”. So you can’t look at your ranked rounds played in your stats because that’s all of your ranked rounds played since you started. And remember, a ranked round can be either a 9-hole or 18-hole round. So to hit your saturation faster ONLY PLAY 9-hole rounds. And the best way to truly know your count is to keep a spreadsheet. Best of Par 3 and Best of Par 5 rounds do not count. Best of Par 4 count because that course has a par of 72. Custom Course rounds DO NOT count either.

    THanks , but I am still not sure ,because I had 2353 ranked rounds when I turned legend , and I now have 2890. That’s a difference of 537. I take the figure from my ranked rounds figure in my stats . I believe these stats include ranked par three and par fives , but doesn’t include custom rounds.

    All ranked rounds are in the stats, that is those strokeplay rounds which appear in the course history.

    As Paul said about average and saturation:

    pmm711:
    Best of Par 3 and Best of Par 5 rounds do not count. [...] Custom Course rounds DO NOT count either.

    ...despite being ranked rounds in the course history.

    Ok, thanks everyone for your info. This basically means I have no way of telling when I will become saturated, I see the point of keeping own records , when there are no useful stats kept on our profile info. Makes it very hard to plan and anticipate. I certainly wasn’t aware that custom rounds formed part of the stats , but I can now see that they are included . I always knew they wouldn’t count towards the saturation point so I just assumed they weren’t in the stats !! Pen and paper records called for in future !

    You got it!

    Alas, with your average (and mine), saturation is nowhere near to have a deciding influence. Nevertheless, you will notice saturation as a wild drive down the numbers when the first & ugliest Legend scores are purged ;)

    Have fun!

    WGT - Rounds of saturation

    From a member of our cc and has proven accurate within a round or 2.

    ****Orange background (in mobile version) club tourney is a regular ranked round. FYI  Custom courses are denoted by a Blue Sky background (mobile version) and do not count toward rounds needed to saturate.

    For all those wondering how many rounds they have played towards their saturation for their tier and don’t (or haven’t) kept up with their play since their last tier move, here is a way to estimate the rounds that are included in your saturation.

    Step1. Play an Orange Sky (regular ranked round) that will count (not a par 3 or 5, custom or CTTH, putting contests, etc).

    Step2. This will change your average. To get this average to 5 decimal places you’ll have to play a coin game. Click on a coin game and while it searches for an opponent write down your average to 5 decimal points. This number will be A1.

    Step3. Go play another Orange Sky game (regular ranked round). Write down what you shot. For a 9 hole game, multiply by 2. This number will be S2.

    Step4. This will change your average. Go play another coin game to get your average to 5 decimal places. While it searches for an opponent write down your average to 5 decimal points. This number will be A2.

    Step5. Calculate the number of rounds you have played towards your saturation point  X.

    X=(A2-S2)/(A1-A2)+1

    Hope that helps.

    Example

    I turned Legend with 411 ranked rounds. I have 1077 ranked rounds now. Ranked round include some Pre-Glitches (custom courses) play the 1st Orange Sky and shot 31. Play a coin game and my average to 5 decimal places is 61.57067. This number is A1. I play a 2nd Orange Sky and shot 31 again. Since this is a 9 hole tourney, I multiply by 2 and get 62. This number is S2. I play a coin game again and my new average to 5 decimal places is 61.57181. This number is A2. Now calculate the rounds you have played towards your saturation.

    X=(61.57181-62)/(61.57067-61.57181)+1

    X=376.6

    I need another 124 rounds that count to saturate for Legend.
