....then I'll stick with my crappy standard clubs and balls and just be satisfied playing all the courses in non tournament Match and Stroke Play.

    Problem solved.

It's a game enjoy it  the best you can.

...I know of 2 people that for a fact used software to "help" them have a better game.

I assume you informed WGT of this and gave them the individuals names?

Another big factor is that the people that score best are the ones that bought the best equipment, just like in the pros! Skill is about 80% of the game, and equipment is the other 20%.

If you're like me, and stick with the basic equipment, you're not going to be making the 300 yard drives and putting great spin on the ball. That means you won't be able to control the ball as well as someone that's dropped $50 or more on clubs and balls.

But I'm not here to win tournaments. I'm here just to have fun and enjoy the game. Just like I do when I'm out on the links in real life!

It's not that the great players are cheating, it's because they enter the Q rounds many more times than the rest of us do, thus driving the cut line to a ridiculous #. Wgt informed me that there would be a discussion on this subject. Whether something is done about it, rests in their hands. Both sides of this discussion have valid points, so there will be players who are not going to like what WGT decides to do. When you have this many people involved in anything there will always be someone who is not happy with the results. Hopefully WGT will decide to do the tourneys like the PGA does, then there will be a level playing field, like I said before, if one player has just 1 more Q round than another then it is not fair, at all. Some are getting a lot more than the rest of us. WGT will sort this out, hopefully.

Its called "cheating" ...I know of 2 people that for a fact used software to "help" them have a better game.

Does that software do the aiming for them? .. or hit exactly the correct power?.. guesses the wind/elevation affect better? ...predicts when the meter will skip/jerk? ... reads the greens?

     I thought not!

to think that everyone better than you  is a cheater is  being naive

how ever to think no one cheats is also being naive

i am on neither side...or both sides

on line gaming companies make a ton of money...followed closely by websites that sell cheats for games (or with some games the gaming company is making less that the cheat providers)

This is my first on line golf game but I have tons of experience in other gaming fields..and have witnessed what a cheat program can do

One game I played was ruined by a 13 year old that made a public cheat

he released it for free ...where for years people had to pay for them (yea losers actually pay monthly subscriptions for cheat software)

anyways my point is there is cheat software for every game ever made...and actually a few games that arent even out yet.....this does not mean everyone ...or even half  of the players use them ...but some will  and some do

btw..the soft ware i am speaking of can and does all that you  ask...

an example would be if you  ever played any of the T W games where you  had to play against a virtual pro golfer...they make insane shots and can be very tough to beat at times. Why? cause they're programmed that way...the same programs are "hacked" and used to make cheat software for losers to use

There are programs out there, there always will be, they're easier to make than you  think. and more people than you  think use them...believe it or not

the only person that you  know is 100% legit  should be yourself,  my 2¢

Its because people are playing off the shortest tees, so every hole is a birdie on par 4's, and even eagles on par 5's.  Thats why scores are so low.  If you cant do it, does it mean the people who can are all cheats. Cant people get it into their heads if they are average at the game it doesn't mean the rest of us are aswell.

Of course it´s simply WRONG that there should be scores in the low 50s because it´s absurdly unrealistic, but that is no one´s fault but WGT´s. Their anxiety to sell sell sell has made them come up with clubs and balls which, if used by the best players, are just too good for the course.

You've mentioned this many a time before.  Maybe you don't have the time to play qualifiers over and over, but why punish the guys who do put in the practice just because they've played the course a few more times than you? After Tiger woods had a break from golf, when he came back, he was well off the pace, but if he had been playing instead of having a break, he might have been much closer because of the PRACTICE.  It wouldn't make a difference how long you get for qualifying, the same good players would always qualify anyway.  I'm not trying to blow my own trumpet, just making a point.  The first ever round i played in the qualifiers at Royal St. George i scored 60, second time i played i scored 57.  I'm just a good legend, there's some GREAT legends, so we would always score consistantly like this however times we play so cutting the qualifying down to a few rounds wouldn't give you that much more of a chance of qualifying.  Unlimited play is the same for everyone, and its there to give you practice for the course, so if you have not the time to practice, then its not everyone else's fault.  What would be best for you, we all put our names into a hat and drawn random lots?

And yes the clubs (& callaways) are to blame for low scores.  Since using the new burner irons, long iron shots are like wedges now and are so accurate (apart from when wind doesn't effect ball) and i can land long irons as close to pin as short irons..they're awesome.
