    Random act of kindness .

Had a discussion about whether or not we should put father in law in care home .

His dementia is getting bad .

I'm sorry to hear about your father in law.  Hope things go well for you and your family.

Very nice of you Henry. Congrats.

Thank you Callaghan.   I see the Random Act of Kindness idea is not really taking off, so I have another idea.  How about people sharing information about themselves so we all get to know each other a little better.  Here is mine:  I look this from a bio I posted in the past, so it may be a little out dated.

    - Retired Police Officer (Inspector i/c of CID) with 37 years on the force

    - One of the brightest most revered Police Investigator of all time (solved many complicated crimes and murders)

    - Very intelligent with a high IQ of 140

    - Wealthy with an estimated net worth of over 8 million dollars

    - In great shape for his age, running several 13 mile marathons during the summers

    - 3 Grand kids under age of 7.

    - World traveler.

    - A very good WGT golf player - possibly one of the best of all time (some people dispute this, but others agree) - See comments from various people on my profile page.

    - A very likable humbler person, and generous.    I generally like everyone and get along with most people.

    - Very thankful to WGT for giving the world this platform for playing golf and making friends.

At 16 won a bet on the horses and bought my first set of golf clubs from woolworth's .

Well actually it was only a half set . Four irons short .

I saved up and bought a new iron every month for 3 months .

Only had an eight iron to buy and i had the full set .

When i went back they had stopped selling golf clubs so never got the full set .

Today was a great day.   I am delivering Uber Eats because I got bored sitting at home. I know the city well.  It gets me out of the  house meeting people (at a distance of course).  And I make  a little coffee money.  I've been meeting retired cops like myself for covid coffee.  That's when we get our own coffee at drive thru and meet in the parking lot and visit from the safety of our own vehicles parked 6 feet apart.   I went by a local out door hockey rink.  It was freshly flooded, and the outdoor temp is a little nicer (only -15 today), so decided to get my skates, stick and puck and be the first one on the ice after flooding.   I called my 28 year old son, who lives 20 feet from the rink.  He came out with his skates and stick and we played a little hockey, one on one.   First time skating with my son in 15 years.   It was nice.   He had been in some trouble and after many years, he seems to be back on the right track again.   And I am forcing myself to do something I said I would NEVER do.  Forgive him.  He is my son and has a kind heart.    Nice weather -15.   We are getting over the COLD spell where we had -50 with windchill.   USA is suffering too.   It will be back to normal in a few days.

The organisers will be disappointed when they find out some "ex cop" is cheating by only running half the distance ;-))
