Why is it that when I play against lets say a tour master we both get to play on tournament speed on the greens? This is a huge advantage for them.

Why not make everyone play on the green speed they are used to? I want to play on fast greens whether I meet a hack or a legend. What is the reason that you make it easier for the top rated player?

really?   Did you even factor in your tee advantage?

Stop being so ignorant. You know as well as me that you higher level people have better equipment that goes way further than my clubs. I was outdrived by this guy at least half of the times.

I asked why is it that I got to play on tournament greens when I usually play on fast greens? There is a lot of difference between those in speed you know..

Ignorant would suggest a lack of knowledge, I can assure in general the lower tiers out drive the upper ones by quite a bit.  So WGT should cater to you?   You play on the upper tiers greens no matter the game.   Small price to pay for being able to hit mostly wedges into greens!

    Cheers,

    b0gey

Yes thats what I meant too..  we don't have the drivers to drive as far as you because our level is not high enough (usually if not someone has stayed on pro until level 70-80). So at least the one's I've played in matchplay has outdrived me or been as near the green as me on second shot.. And taking in that you often have irons going further than ours I can't see what advantage we have.

OK, maybe for you?  But as a legend, all tiers have a huge tee advantage on most courses.  The difference can be 3-4 clubs into a green at times.   So I am not sympathetic to what you seem to deem a disadvantage.

You have equipment available to you in the Pro Shop that along with your tee box advantage and a fair amount of skill, puts you way ahead of most players in the fairway on any given day. In an effort to even the playing field for that potential advantage WGT selects the green speed for the highest tiered player.

If others are outdriving you or making more putts than you, it then becomes your problem and possibly more practice is needed to help develope your game. Of coarse the player who has the most skill will always be the winner: no matter who the opponent is; or what equipment they may have; or what tee box or green they happen to be hitting from...

How can you have two different speeds on the same green in real life? You seem to want this game to be more and more unrealistic.

How can outdriving be my fault lol? I can't help that I have worse equipment that they do, thats not anything I can practice to get better on..

So why are they choosing the player with highest tiers greens? The lower rated players need all they can get against a better player.. Or at least make it the average of the two peoples greenspeed..

And besides, this is FAR from real life you know.. So that little difference wont make it so much more unrealistic..
