I purchased the Ping G10 iron set(graphite) a few days ago andit was perfect, the swing meter was slow and I could hit perfect shots all the time. The next day, the swing meter was at 12 oclock, way too fast for me. If I missed the 'excellent' mark on the early side, my shots went way left and if I was late on clicking, the shots go way right. Anyone know what causes this? Does a wireless mouse screw up? Thanks for any input.

I can only guess that you didn't clear your caches after buying the new clubs. The new speed will be the proper speed for the clubs. If it's too fast for you then you'll have to change balls.

As already stated, the current speed is the proper speed. I know that it's tough at first, but I'd advise you to stick with them. You'll have to get used to the quicker meter eventually, unless you want to hamstring yourself forever.

I use the Srixon balls with the vapor trail currently. What set of balls would slow down the swing meter? I've since purchased the Ping Rapture full set, it's a lot better, but still the swing meter doesn't allow for a perfect shot everytime. Suggestions to slow down that meter?

You're wasting your time if you're chasing a perfect hit every time. As for balls, go for the ones with the most feel.

I know that it's a tough transition, but you are trying to ding every shot into the middle of the fairway or onto the green, I'm sorry to tell you that those days are numbered. As you level up, your meter will get faster and your forgiveness will drop off a cliff, but you will gain much needed precision and distance.

Being a solid player on this site isn't about hitting the perfect shot every time; it's about knowing which shot to use in "off" lies in order to get yourself out of trouble.
