I have played 100's of rounds of golf in my life and have watched even more on T.V. and never have I seen or performed a chip shot where a divot was dug up. In the real world if that were to happen I believe you would be laughed off the course. I recently played a round on here where I chipped a shot from the fairway 10 yards from the hole and it kicked up a divot that I swear hit my ball and then traveled farther than it. Now really guy's have you ever done that on a course yourself? As a memeber of this game I ask that you at least look into this and consider fixing it.

Not to mention I HAVE NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER seen a golfer hit a tree 5yds off the Tee box I mean really C'mon

I mean if i catch a tree at 100yds fine but to hit trees 5yds off the tee box is a big fat JOKE

I watched all 4 rounds of the US Open and never once saw a golfer hit a tree 5 yds off the tee box

Bet you're talking about CCC#4. That tree wasn't in play during the Open. In fact, Bollox was there and posted the same comment when he came back.

The Budman thinks that if you are hitting trees five yards off the tee box...then you are hitting balls into the woods and not at the fairway.  You should probably turn yourself and aim at the hole you are playing.

I have.  I have actually been hit by the ball after it hit off a tree, maybe 10 yards from the tee,  right in the shoulder.   Had to play the rest of the round with my arm in a sling.

NO i am not aiming in the woods thanks for your ingenious response

I am not playing from the lady tees such as yourself wait to you get to the legend tees then you can make a comment on hitting trees off the tee cause it does happen to more people than just me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Williamricker...you sound very excited with all those !!!.  I suggest you have a Bud to calm your nerves.  Who knows, maybe after a few you might straighten your aim out.

#2 AT BPB for anyone playing from TM tees on back is a tree nightmare.  Dogleg left with the left side lined with trees that will catch your tee shot.

Not if you leave the aim alone and pull the shot. That's a more palatable mistake, though, easy enough to do.  I think the OP is talking about trees within 15 feet of the tee.

You have to play full bs to get over that tree, and you will always go over the right half of it,so perhaps you hit a tad early got VEMd and hit the left half
