  I'd guess they never thought about it.  Seems I'm no longer eligible to play in this round of weeklies either.

  I just had a quick look at our new Tour Champions and there's someone on page 1 with a 72 average!

  That's because his one round after the reset of the avg was a 36 for nine holes.

  I think WGT missed a chance here to create a true elite tier for a small number of players. It doesn't change anything except there are now two tiers (Champion + TL) who will be short on talent and number of players while the Tour Champion tier is simply the old Champion tier with a new label. Basically WGT doubled down on the mistake they made with the ongoing existence of the TL tier which is of no use to anyone. 

  But on the plus side: The new course is great. Fun to play and a unique addition to the existing courses. Thanks!

  Agree 100%! Get this right now WGT because this will bite you for a long time if you don`t.

  Agreed as well.  Just need to lower the average requirement for starters.  

  Hopefully, they'll consider tweaking the new tier a bit.

  T Champ - per all the previous comments....................assuming no special announcement about anything missed from the company??

  New Course - WOW.  Great job guys.  It's what this place is really fundamentally all about and why it got so respected in the first place.  My first go around it was a real treat for me.

  Played 9 in practice mode, hit the ball from everywhere. Some parts of the green are super slippery, chipped into a bunker only to end up with a 50/60 lie.

  Some of the elevations left me deciding would my tee shot be too long, but personally its beautifully photographed and finished.

  Love the course, its gonna be a long afternoon and night, with some ball usage along the way.

  And more importantly, WGT seems to have set the " level" for Tour Champion too low, around the 55 average mark.

  I think that the average is set at the 53 mark, since only 2 players in the country club I am in are now Tour Champion.  Their average was below 53.  I am not completely sure, but seems to be true.

  Well just as I predicted, I lost 2 balls on the first round.. That was very costly round.. Oh but I am so happy I was promoted to Tour Champion.. I am so happy... 

   

  Just Curios how many golf balls were lost today at the NEW Wolf Creek?
