AlaskanDame:So, wgt started selling ball EFFECTS and giving ball EFFECTS away because those EFFECTS can be used with any ball. I personally think this is one example of wgt making a good decision and actually listening to members.
I agree in that WGT may have listened, but the problem that arose is that I believe it was discovered "ball effects" can mess with and alter how the game plays for different people or in different browsers (maybe it was flash related).
I have had to restart games in which it messed with my meter and response time with my mouse... this only occurred when the ball effects were used...
If I restarted, the game would normalize... as soon as the effect was used... it would resume screwing with the game... I have watched and heard players reportedly use these as possible attempts to undermine their opponents in heads up matches...
If this was a temporary glitch or permanent, I do not know... I simply refused to use them, especially in multiplayer games... so the ball effects become a worthless gift and actually may have adverse effects on the game.
