  Quarter final match.

  Paragon 2 v Transgressional Raiders.

  Bader76 (Carl) v jw196128 (Jon).

  This was a close game with some excellent birdies and eagles. Some very good putting on Carl’s part.I never led but managed to peg Carl back from 2 down to AS on the back 9 until I messed up the Par 3 17th.

  Bader76 won 2 up.

  Well played Carl. Best of luck for the rest of the tournament.

  The Plate---Quarter Final Match

  East Coast 2 v Scottish

  Cuser44 v JACOBITE12

  
  

  I played my match today against Al (jacobite12) and played a tough opponent.

  We were evenly matched throughout.  JB (Al) took a 1 up lead on 2 and I answered right away with a bird on 3.

  I took a 1 up lead on 5 only to have JB chip in a long bird on 7 to even the match.

  I again take a 1 up lead on 8 only to have JB stick his tee shot on 9 inside of 3'.  A/S through 9.

  We halve 10 after JB drains a 20' bird to negate my shot that stuck just outside of a foot of the hole.

  I try to gain momentum on 11 as JB's drive ended in the brush.  I was able to save par and win the hole.  This ended immediately on 12 with JB's birdie.  Once again ALL EVEN.

  This is where my irons heated up.  Hole 13 I shoot a dart to inside 5' for a birdie and a 1 up lead.  My next bullseye comes on 14 when I drop my second to 1' for my second bird in a row.  2 up.

  We halve 15 when I chip in for a birdie and JB drains his putt from 9'.

  Hole 16 has me 2 up and I hit my approach to 7'.  JBs second went long and this was the deciding factor.  He almost made his birdie and I was able to hit the center of the cup for the 3 up Victory for East Coast.

  Al was a great opponent and his friendly personality made the match that much more enjoyable.

  I believe the directors deserve a loud round of applause for keeping this event running.  Cheers to all and Let's all enjoy a Pint at the Pub.

  1/4 final playoffs SEL vs. TBR

  birchi wins 1up vs. forrrrrrr

  Had a nice match with Greg. I putted horrendously, but somehow was able to win it with a birdie on the 18th hole. The double eagle on the 4th was probably my highlight in a world cup match so far.

  Thanks to Greg taking his sweet time I was able to read along the twitch chat and although I couldn't comment (rage deleted my Twitch account after a stream messed up another important round) I, as always, appreciated the very fair and sportsmanlike comments by the SEL crowd. Good luck to your remaining 8 players.

  It was a fun match. I got off to a hot start and managed to maintain it for most of the game. Ron could have easily made it closer as he grazed some unlucky putts. Pleasure playing with Ron, GG.

  Quarter final match

  Ragefire (130) v Pierolitfiba (96)

  Was close all the way with never any more than 2 shots in it.  Carlo made a few great putts and his reply on 16 after i'd stuck mine was special. 

  I managed to hold on for a 2 and 1 win.

  Thanks for the game Carlo and all the best for the future.

  Since screensharing and discord was allowed again tonight, albeit with the promise of mic's off or whatever, it seems it has been decided that it is within the rules. In that case I'd like to make a couple of suggestions.

  The opponent should always be given the choice, not that I'm suggesting they weren't tonight.

  All captains should be told this is allowed.

  Although I think this was a bad decision that doesn't make this a negavitve post, it's just a couple of suggestions with fairness in mind.

  quarter final match- Wooden Tee vs Aphrodite

  wow what a match with Mark !!...we both played well and the lead changed hand several times...went 3 extra holes and i pulled it off with a long bender putt on the 21st hole

  Beryman defeated Mbcarp99 on 3rd extra hole

  never more than 1 hole between us in the entire match with some decent golf played by both of us, Bob was a great guy to play a round with and congrats on the victory m8, i will be having nightmares about the 18th for the next few weeks lol
