  Playoffs: Match 1  Wooden Tees vs Paragon 3

  msulaman vs 100plus       msulaman by 1

  Entertaining match involving several lead changes. As usual it came down to putting and I made a couple putts at opportune times. Thanks for the match Trev.

  Wooden Tees moves on and Paragon 3 starts training for next year's World Cup.

  Curtis said it all,was a very enjoyable match with both of us having our dingless and wtf moments .Curtis is a very good player and was fun to play with. Well done Trev

  Thank you Nigel (Wutpa).  It was a pleasure competing against you and your cc members.  All were gracious opponents and our cc members had nothing to say but praise and good words towards them.

  Look forward to meeting up again one of these days.

  Last match we have to play we have used a sub, SinCityScorpion is replacing Mikeyk911 to play Timbeck but is abit of a dead rubber now as we have gone through.

  Just got in so n9ot much time to do a write up,

  
  

  We are now down to the last 8 teams in the Cup/Plate

  
  

  Thanks to all the teams who have taken part this year and I hope to see you in next year’s World cup.

  
  

  We have some cracking matchups this round none more so than the Trans Bandits v Paragon 1,

  
  

  Some say this is a final anyway but I’m sure there are a few teams out there who will have a say about that lol.

  
  

  The defending champs Wooden Tees are still in this and entertain Aphrodite.

  This has all holes/prizes and sponsors for all the holes played during the comp, any claims must be put on there with a screenshot or back up from your opponent please.

  Quarter-Final

   

   

  30th April to 14^th May

   

  18 Holes Matchplay

   

  Chambers Bay

  A truly great inland links course, when the wind blows its wide open its so hard to judge distance and wind also a lot of elevations up and down which make this a great match play course.

   

   

   

  RULES

   

  No handicaps in the knockout stages which will please some players,

   

  Each match will be played to a win or lose even with sudden death,

  Each match will have a 2 week timeline to complete

   

  Any matches not completed on time will be looked at by the panel and a decision made on the result depending on evidence supplied,

   

  Any players refusing to play will forfeit their match,

   

   

  Once a match been played the result will stand so it’s up to all players to check the opponents tier before start of play,

   

  I would suggest a 90sec shot clock with maximum timeouts, there’s no panic to get the game played and have a chat in-between,

  if both players agree they can have 60 or 45 that would be their choice,

   

  No focus boosts will be allowed during matches. Use of this tool will lead to a disqualification

  Players please when posting results, I would like group number, teams and players please and a short post of the match,

   

  Any team members giving advice on any shots/putts to another player on any chat forum and found out, the player and the adviser will be disqualified from the rest of the comp.

   

  Let’s keep the forum busy but no negative comments from anyone, if you have problem contact your captain first,

  That was the decider as it turns out.  (That really isn't fair, early matches played count the same as the later ones, and I turned in a stinker early.)

  I had no problems working with Will for the sub due to a family emergency.  The point is to play the game.

  Although we did not make it past the knockout stages our club Brookline CC thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this year's competition.

  There were some epic games and played with some of the most gracious and fun people we have met.

  I personally have made a few great new friends and have also picked up more than one helpful tip from them during our matches.

  My team and I wish to thank Finny, Dotty, Nico and any other behind-the-scenes collaborators, without whom none of this would be possible. You guys are awesome.

  Special thanks to my fellow Captains for helping us ensure our matches all went of smoothly.

  Most importantly my heartfelt thanks goes out to my team without whom this definitely would not have been possible.

  To those teams that have progressed to the next stage my team and I wish you every success.

  We look forward to taking part again next year and hope to see a few old friends there again too.
