Lately I have been paying attention to my cache.  I use Firefox and there is an offline tool that you can use to see what files are being stored on ones computer.  It also shows how many times any one file is retrieved.

My reasoning these two files store information on the clubs and balls you are using, and the parameters associated with them.  Since these files don't change unless you buy different clubs and or different balls, I should not be retrieving them 14 times each.  This tells me that the files are being modified somehow has shown in the above screen shots.  Which would also indicate some of the odd behaviour I have seen as of late in regards to meter speed consistency, ball carry, etc.  Please look into this and respond.

It also shows when the files were modified.

    Thank-you

    Infinito

As you know, the cache is used to store files that are or might be re-used by the browser. I believe the Fetch Count above is the number of times it has been re-used.  It is being fetched from the cache on your hard drive and given to the program requesting it.  I'm thinking you started or restarted a game 14 times and each time the game client asks for those files when starting a game.  Almost 16 hours have elapsed between the modified time and the last fetched time so its possible you started many games?

I also developed a nifty tool so I can save my cache and browser settings and the ability to restore said cache.  All this to eliminate my computer talking to WGT's server to improve meter performance.

The ETAG is an electronic signature which has a hash associated with it.  I can show you examples where the ETAG doesn't match.

Whilst I love both of you dearer than dearly, I find I have to choose and I must go for Infinito because I would rather believe that all the odd behaviour IS happening, and not only to me, as we play.

All I am saying is something is not right.  If I was perfect at this my shots would all be within a foot, not 15 ft right, or 10 feet long at times or something inbetween.  Its when a shot comes up 8 yards short and you check the replay and yep, I used the right club.

Please, do not bin me in haste m'lady.  I do believe there is odd behavior in the game play, I've seen it and had it happen to me on occasion.  No argument there.  Critical examination is part of any technical discipline and I'm sure Infinito understands this.

I agree strange results happen.  My question is are we looking in the right area for the cause?  If your assumptions are correct, then changing balls or changing clubs would change the two files you referenced.  Since you are able to save those files, try that.  Save the cache, clear the actual cache, change your clubs and balls, start a game and then compare the saved file to the "new" file.  What do you find?

As I suspected, the file references all the clubs that you own.  I substituted my starter irons and played a few holes on KiW.  The Etag did not change.

OK that's progress.  Now what if you added a cheap ball or wedge that you currently do not own?

    The Etag should change, yes?
