1 more thing is this regarded as a cheat because i have already been called one when i'm not ?????? Please return an answer as i am intrigued and will not tollerat being called one , People need to get there facts correct right before they bark and make sure they have the evidence to prove such an accusation, i will be awaiting a reply.

There are many many many very good players on this game that don't need the above accusations being made.

    cheers Pete

I am a mug then, yes it would be great if free...   at .003 cents per putt bought in bulk of 1000 , it would cost me about 3.00  a month for the putter pal. Now  I can pull my unsightly piece of scotch tape off my monitor with little dots on it.

This is especially helpful for new players who can print off a spreadsheet with putting distances, and advance much more quickly.

    Fuzzygazz:

Bragging rights now the putter pal.  Why not for woods and irons too? You.ve outdone yourselves.

Impossible for WGT, when a 160 7 iron, hit on the ding, can go anywhere between 167 and 143 yards without explanation (without wind effect) how can you apply a percentage power meter when that kind of deviation is in play?

It is free though, there's wgtcaddy out there which is used by many players.

I thought the ruler was a sort of cheating. Now that wgt cunningly gave its blessing to the idea... maybe they should introduce The Ding Pal? Let's say 1000 auto-dings  for 999 credits?

Ha Ha, think that would somehow detune the challenge of this game, we may all curse the meter, but hey we keep coming back to try and master it.

Maybe they should theme the meter, let us buy the 'Homer Meter' in the pro shop so if you hit the ding it shouts 'Beer' and if you miss it shouts 'DOH!' Now that would be quality entertainment.....

Thank you very much, I shout it myself often enough (for free). Or its less  restrained Polish equivalent.

Btw. Is there any option to switch the Pal off?

WGT have never condemned the ruler software as cheating, it has been hotly debated a number of times on here. Those of us in the purist camp don't think much of it, preferring to rely on our own judgement or judgement assisted by tape, bits of paper etc.

The other camp sees no wrong in it.

I'm kinda in between to be honest, I spent a bit of time on making a copy meter out of card which balances precariously on my monitor under the real meter a la Yancyman.
