    I disagree, Don.

@theo: I stopped to play A/S and other MP due to this, a long time ago.

While I think there are more opportunities (potential) for disconnects in M/P games, the majority of connection problems are at the user end.  That is just the way it works.  One large business that needs to stay connected outside of any scheduled downtime (it is how they make money) compared to multiple thousands of individual connections of varying type, quality, speed, bandwidth, browsers, etc.

This does not mean there are no contrary cases, but they will be rare.

Just as an anecdote, I was playing a match, my opponent was disconnected (he was winning), after a minute and a half waiting ...he not return, but my surprise was when I tried to join another game, my % turned yellow (MINE!..WTF), EVERYTHING in this system works badly...EVERYTHING, I see well to have a system that regularizes the disconnection situations, but one that works WRONG IN ALL ASPECTS what sense does it have?

The diversity is one argument against you: If all those different users face discons, the best guess of the cause may be the common target, WGT's server.

From reading reports here for years, my suspicion is that the servers have too high demands on response time of the connected users, deeming them a problem too soon.

Of course, user configurations may cause real discons, but the split can only be guessed.

This has definitely happened and can still happen.

We all saw what happened when Wolf Creek (full course) was opened!  Terrific overload of the WGT servers was obvious and lasted a couple of days, finally tapering off to basically normal after everyone got in a bunch of rounds on the new course!  I know some people that stayed up during the night to jump right on after the downtime!  During that problem with overloaded WGT servers, the cause was obvious because we had a huge number of complaints in a short time to confirm where the problem was.

Excluding the complaints during an obvious WGT server issue like above, the vast number of posts that I have come across in the forums related to issues like this are totally end-user related because we often see some chime in that it may be a specific browser problem yet others using the same browser state they do not have the issue.

You are right that we don't know an accurate breakdown, but in my computer experience dating back 52 years has shown me that the vast majority of reported problems of any type are end-user related.

Anyway, I will not hold my breath for WGT to provide us any info related to this!!

    Sei gut, mein Freund!
