It is normal for a scoring average to spike after attaining a new tier.  What happens is your old average is no more and your first scores will set your new average in the new tier.  Since 38 doubled equals 76, that is just about right.

I was 66.04 as a Tour Pro, shot 39 at BPB, jumped to master and new avg was 78. It happens to us all. Has been months but have got to 65.60 . Keep on swinging and don't keep anything over 2-3 under and your avg will go down.

Be careful about moving to a lower tier before you are ready or too quickly.  That low average sure looks good on paper and it strokes the ego...but moving to a lower tier before you are ready can be frustrating if you want to be competitive.  No judgment here...just be aware as many new players wish they were back in the old tier again...but there is no going back.

That's very good advice.  There's a good reason it takes a while to get to a new tier, it's for your own good so let it happen when it does.  After a certain number of ranked rounds, I think 40 for Tour Master, only your 40 best scores count anyway so your average can only go down.
