    WGTicon:

    New equipment:

    Cobra King F9 Driver

More speed and more distance off the tee with the latest from Cobra.

etc etc (I didn't want to quote all the new clubs).

This is, at best, missleading.  There are no new clubs in that update just some new names, there are new prices. I really don't see why wgt can't just say we can no longer maintain our promise of never changing the price of equipment.

I know nothing about computer programming so appoliges if there's more to changing a name than there would seem to be but here's what happened in the update.

     Drivers

    Gone:

    Cobra King F8 (black and grey) Loft 10.5  Level 5  Dist 235 Med/High Precision 1 Forgiveness 2.4 spin 0.5 Meter speed 3.2  PRICE 350c

    "New"

    Cobra king F9 speedback.         Loft 10.5  Level 5  Dist 235 Med/High Precision 1 Forgiveness 2.4 spin 0.5 Meter speed 3.2  PRICE 400c

    Gone

    Cobra King F8+ (black and grey) Loft 10.5  Level 63  Dist 267 Med/High Precision 3.6 Forgiveness 2.6 spin 1 Meter speed 3.5  PRICE 1,100c

    "New"

    Cobra king F9 speedback            Loft 10.5  Level 63  Dist 267 Med/High Precision 3.6 Forgiveness 2.6 spin 1 Meter speed 3.5  PRICE 1,150c

I can't be bothered fully listing everything so just a summary of other clubs.

3 woods and hybrids: Cobra King F8 replaced by F9, exactly the same attributes.  Price has gone from 125c to 200c for L7 ones and 325c to 400c for L64

Irons:  Same thing; Cobra F8's gone F9 in, exactly the same attributes prices were 325c/1,475c now 400c/1,550c.

    Wedges: Nothing new/renamed.

Putters: The four "new" putters are just renaming the four Seemores that have gone.  There was no price rise here but these putters,  I think, were an addition/replacement in one of the other recent updates.

Are there any new clubs, and by that I mean ones with different attributes to ones taken out of the pro shop, coming soon?

    borntobesting:
I would have loved to have gotten the Cobra F9 Speedback at say level 100 but that is because I play Cobra woods IRL

    Agreed.

I just bought an F8 Fairway wood IRL, still in plastic and will have on the real course tomorrow (weather permitting).  Really wanted the F9 but got new F8 for a steal of a price since the new F9 came out.

Switched to the one length irons two shortly after the F7's came out and couldn't be happier. Now have F8 5wd  and 3 hybrid-SW in one length in the bag.  F9 driver most likely next year when the prices come down for the next model. ;-)

Posting in your club forum now only shows up in the actual forum itself, it is not showing up on the club home page under "recent activity".

    Alain760:

By the way we all know that the difference of yardage, with the same ball and playing the ding is not 2 yards but more around 10 to 15 yards and that it can change a 2nd shot.

More than once, I tried the old TM (L103) driver. It's not a 10-15 yard difference between it and 287-yard drivers.

Personally, I never thought the differences I saw justified the price.

Even since I started using the Titleist ball, I haven't seen any big difference in the 289 yd driver I have over the 287 yd drivers.  Heck, I think I'm out driven half the time with a lesser ball.

Thx for the info., Icon & thx for the new pins.

The tourney's in May sound pretty cool as well.  :)

Was wondering if you could say or not...any further equipment releases coming down the pipe?

Yes what i have noticed is a difference on the carry distance, the Taylormade has a higher ball flight than the callaway rogue, so it brings more solutions on certain hole.

Just like the 3 wood callaway before the rogue had a high flight, and the new one has a med/high so the carry distance is better on the ancient one.
