  This is also true. It’s just hard to find the right balance. But watching Tiger repeatedly slash out sideways from the rough is not an artistic triumph. Should he be penalized for errant driving? Definitely. Do we want to destroy the highly entertaining recovery shot? Meh.

  Come on guys. At what point do we test the best players in the world? Driving accuracy has almost been negated in the modern game. It’s not all about distance. Every facet of the game is tested at Bethpage, starting with driving. The monotonous weekly setups are all about birdies

  BPB showed it's toughness Sunday - especially with that weather!

  yep. The course toughened up its act considerably on day 4 thanks to mixture of weather conditions and the odd pin placement or two.

  Sadly, the competition was marred, yet again, by the moronic behaviour of too many individuals. The same behaviour that manifested itself last year in New York State. 

  Surprisingly,  the PGA of America president’s lauding of New York galleries was horribly misplaced. It was laughable, in fact.
