As a club owner, I've taken great pains to keep on top of my members. When they join my club, I immediately 'friend' them. I'll send several over time. If they plan on being 'active' players, they'll accept. In the past, I've had to go through my entire 'friends' list, and see who is still in my club... and unfriend those that have moved on... very time consuming.
I remove players that do not play within a 21-day period. (Everyone knows to contact me, if they will be away any longer than that.) I keep track on a spreadsheet, using the 'last played' date on the My Country Club page.
The middle column is their date 'last played', the last column is 21 days later... the day I remove them from membership. I replace them with players that are seeking a home or with players that I actively recruit (usually from 'dead clubs' with inactive owners/directors. With this method, I am slowly getting to my goal of 90% active within 7 days... by weeding out 'non-serious players. My 7 day number is currently 81%, 60% in the past 24 hours (on a Monday). It's about 75% during the weekend.
