I really like playing the clash matches , and the conditions vary every time , the one before this last one had just fast greens , so it’s good to learn all conditions within your club tournaments so all the players can deal with the differing conditions when in the clash.
Its still a great format for all players because a rare eagle or even birdie or a lucky long putt can turn a mediocre points score into something special.
I think it engages the lower tiered players for that reason , as overall score in a round is not so important as the individual good pointing holes .
