Why does this happen?

  I cant see the aimer, its completely gone so i have no choice to just get the distance right and hit it but when i hit it, it goes way to the side like the aimer was pointing there but was invisible.

  happened also to me....if you are playng alone, just close the window and restart it....the aimer will compare again

  I have done that once before but it didnt come back that time so i havent tried it since.

  Try switching shots and views to see if it's anywhere.

  Did that, changed the view , went to flop and pitch.... was nowhere.

  Hi

  did you try quitting/restarting the game? If that happens, it seems to be due to flash crash.
