Can you tell me why wgt does the oposite of golf rules regarding your hcp???

Can you tell me why you go left and short and right and long ??

cos in real golf left is long and right is short.

First, there is no HCP calculation in the golf rules but only allowances. The HCPs are defined in the regulations of the national unions.

Furthermore, it's not quite the opposite but it's different. May stem from the fact that we aren't regarded (USGA) amateurs here. World Golf Tour on famous Open Championship courses is played by pros!

This is true IRL for (righthanders') draws and fades, but we don't have these here. Distance and length are subject to programmed variations - ever heard of VEM?

Fairly new to wgt, but would like to vent a few concerns. Do you have to keep buying better clubs to improve your scores? Why are courses always 15+ mph wind. Never any calm days? It seems bogey putts drop, but for birdies always inches off. You get my drift. Feels liked a rigged game. Is it just me?

      Basically yes

You will need to acquire new clubs in order to signicantly improve.progress. You will need WGT credits to obtain these new clubs and purchasing those credits is the fastest way to get them. But there are also ways to earn them (watching videos, answering surveys, etc) for free, if you are not in a hurry.

In a CC . You have the option to customize all features .

Or in practice mode. The WGT competitions tend to be designed to test your abilities but as pdb says if you are in a CC (which you are) and have the permissions to create tournaments then you can set the wind speed, green speed and tee distance variables of your choice. You can also do all these things any time you want in practice mode.

Yes and the par and bogey putts are 3 to 6' longer than the birdie putt .

And 90% of the putts that are short never go in, etc. (Yogi Berra). The more you play and practice the more of those putts will go in. It's a simple equation.

      No .

Agreed, it isn't just you that believes this. But that doesn't mean you're right. WGT in general and these forums in particular contain by a fair few conspiracy theorists that think WGT has rigged the game, but I've never read a genuinely convincing argument in support of this.
