I was at my Golf Club today and realised I'd spent a bit too much time on WGT.  When I saw a box of excellent golf balls (1 doz) for about 1/20th of the price I paid for my set of irons I thought "bargain!!!"

Who thought up the pricing in the WGT Pro shop?  A sleeve of 3 good balls costs the same as a state of the art Hybrid...........?  A whole box of 'em costs the same as a new Driver.........?

If real golf was like this I'd spend less time playing and more time duck diving in dams!

    It's scandalous,

but all the time we keep buying, there going to keep charging.

Would be nice if they knocked something off the price of multiple sleeve purchases.

Buy 10 sleeves and get a 25% discount.

    (I do love to dream)

I guess look at it this way, most people never get 20+ holes out of one ball like we do. Also, in real life, balls deteriorate through use...not so here. Additionally, you never have to regrip, reshaft or regroove your clubs. Accordingly, the perpetual cost of balls isn't prohibitive though I'm in agreement it WOULD be nice to pay a bit less for them overall by about 100cr or so at least.

AND PLEASE MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO GIFT LEGEND BALLS FFS!

I don't know about you, but I lose 5 balls a round easy irl. That's why I use the cheap stuff haha

Nothing like tromping through the poison ivy and brambles looking for that last hit.  :-D

I'm not sure what happens elsewhere around the world.  But here in Australia every club competition has a ball comp for overall score, balls for nearest to pin, and often an "eagles nest".  I'm sure I'm not the only one that rarely pays for balls.

My Club Pro is actually very forgiving as he'll often happily go me ball for ball and I play $8 balls.

I know we have credit prizes here on WGT.  Couldn't balls be added to the prize / tournie pools?

I'm no scab.  I paid cash for credits to buy some gear and no doubt in the future will have to do so again.  But I do believe the decent balls pricing is too high and out of proportion.
