I think it's unfair for me to lose credit for playing consecutive days when two players agree to an 18 hole match, play down to the line, one person quits, and the remaining player gets zero credit for playing consecutive days. This happened to me TWICE, consecutively... within two hours on the same day!  This is not right.  There should be a way to account for one person, completing at least nine holes, under ANY circumstances to, get consecutive day credit. Otherwise, the game is cheating the player.

You have a point, Rupert, but you can still get credit for your time by finishing the game yourself. Match play would mean you'd have to sit out the 5 minute wait for your op to return but stroke play lets you resume. Finish and you'll get the credit.
