You definitely have a point, Mizz. While playing in the practice mode does give us the chance to play in different wind conditions, it also give the master tier players a huge advantage, sometimes 50 or 60 yards off the tee. The easiest solution, of course, would be for us to all play ranked rounds.  To keep the variety of the practice rounds, maybe when masters play from the white tees, the pros would play from the red tees ...good idea, but i think it would prove to be very difficult to get all the matches completed.

3rd option ... At the risk of being ridiculed for suggesting it, would be for all of the practice rounds to be played with Starter equipment. ( Maybe my favorite option because it would be fun... and that's what we're all doing this for anyway.)

I like playing the different wind conditions.  Maybe the pros and masters could play different tees under the same wind and greens...but you are right.  Getting partners would be hard.  Especially in final round.

Here is the RD 2 scorecard for Raolph, Tommybarnes and me.  Great card for the conditions.

    Vic, Jeff,

Just a quick question and one that has been bugging me i supppose.

How is the cut line worked out, i thought that it was -10 from the leading player

Doesnt seem to be that, just curious as to the calculation

    thanks for a great tournament

There's a few factors which I take in to calculation for the cut line -

    • The 10 shots rule, ie. 10 shots from the leading score
    • Number of players participating in the tournament
    • maximum of 46 players making the cut
I try to be consistent with the way I make the cut from week to week.  One way of keeping tab on what the cut would be is by looking at the projected cut line on the leaderboard.  Hope that answer your question.
