Still in Las Vegas, taking the red eye, back home around 5am tomorrow. I’ll do a stream tomorrow and break down the weekend for anyone interested.

Congrats to all the players!  Getting to the 64 was hard enough; now some of us are going to complain a 45 second clock is too slow.  Give me a break; 90 seconds is standard in our club.

I saw a superbly played 1st semi match.  A really good one on 2nd except my friend fmagnets had a bad stretch on B9, and the better player won in finals.

I had no problems watching them in Europe on a 60 second clock several months ago. Or even less on the 45 second clock yesterday, but for fairer match I would go with 60.

    What is with the haters?

I like to think I'm good, but some people have serious talent at this game, and skill is always fun to watch at anything.

    Tom.

Me too, on my day I’d like to think I’m as good as anyone, I can hit 57’s etc but not on the regular basis that is required. Practice, mapping etc I have problems with in the fact I would rather play and that’s my choice, and yes I enjoy watching the ‘elite’ play.

Two bitter and grumpy men are on the bridge of a viaduct drinking their beers and watching the marathon runners pass underneath.

One declares: it is still amazing to run all these miles!

The other responds: they have no merit, they are athletes!

To watch or not watch is individual choice,

I watch because I hope to learn.

I watched this event every chance I get, and hoping to learn something.

Very well done to all four and especially Simon :-))

You did have problems on the former, both events were 45sec clocks, maybe that shows it feels longer when you're watching:-/

I just reckon the faster the clock the more watchable it is, although I suppose under 30sec it would be very difficult for the players.

And I thought Paul was very good again..
