VanHalenLover: computers don't work intuitively -
this goes in to more detail about what you are asking.
Seems the people who program the computers don't think intuitively either. I've seen that link. meh.
Here's a quote from a recent article:
"Control the cache
Every single Web browser uses cache to store images and other Temporary Internet Files. In theory, this makes previously visited websites
load faster. But in reality a bloated cache slows down browsing and
takes up a lot of hard drive space. The solution is to clear the cache
on a regular basis."
I will just add "Modifying my browser cache size" as another hoop I need to jump thru to get the game to perform as promised with a much smaller sys required. My "intuitive" guess from experience here is WGT sends lots of redundant crap to our systems. Programmers like to cover their butts just in case. i.e. "The game client probably already knows Andy's got Burner 2.0 irons but just to be safe, I'll send that information again, and again, etc."
Time to go clear my cache again.
