"Specified player already owns this item" - for balls?!

  Tried to award a CC Championship prize, Tour SD Balls, by Gifting them from the Pro Shop, of course, and got this message -

   

   

  Issues encountered:

  • Specified player already owns this item

   

  I can understand why it would do this for clubs, of course, to prevent someone from having 2 of the exact same club.  But for balls it makes no sense, as it should just increase the number of that type ball in the bag of the recipient.  Can this problem be corrected?

  can you try again please and if it still errors:

  can you pm the account name you are trying to find the items to? I think if there is an issue it's on that end because we tried gifting those balls and it works for us.
