    Miantiao:

    alreno:
There's a reason the tablet, phone or new pc version is more popular -  because it's far better.

No, it's because people work and travel, so its far more convenient to carry a tablet or phone.

The flash game plays better, simple. Tried the mobile game years ago on tablet, its rubbish.

    alreno:
If you don't like it stop playing or quit whining and learn to adjust and get better on the better newer version.

I'll be doing just that, not that I'm a regular, but I'll miss flogging your backside in Brackets alreno.

You sure you're not being paid for these sychophant diatribes?

Well you just proved my point.  There's a reason PC players beat mobile players consistently - it's because scores are lower on PC because it's an easier game to play.  The biggest difference is the putting.  Putts break less on PC and green speeds in the 12 to 14 range are much much sicker on mobile.  Less break and less slick greens translate into better scores.  Now that everyone will be playing the same format - let's see how well you do.  Me personally I'm a very up and down player - I can be really good some days and some days really average.  Or round to round lol.  But I've beaten many of you PC players but lost many too.  Playing on PC you can definitely be more accurate because you're not holding your device like with a tablet and more human error comes into play.  So, once you make the adjustment you'll still have an advantage over tablet players.  Bravo.

Pretty hard to accept that it hasn’t always been that little bit harder on mobile (and thus the new PC version by assumption) when you look at the numbers.

Each and every month the premier WGT tourney l/b’s have always been filled almost entirely by PC players. Yes, there’s a smattering of mobile players (Ysonr, SimonTheBeetle, AussieMick, pls excuse those I forget....) but even they, talented as they obviously are, feature only sporadically and never quite seem to win these things.
To the best of my knowledge no mobile player ever won the VT event at TC level, the most recent live event featured 10/10 PC players if I’m not mistaken, etc etc.

All this despite the mobile platform being available, for what now, 4 years plus?
And, as seems to be generally agreed, considerably more surely play on mobile than PC in any case?
And no, we don’t all play coin games in turkey hats - I’m one of 6-8 dedicated mobile players in my CC who play nothing but WGT comps, CC tourneys, RG’s, brackets etc. Haven’t played a coin game in months, nor do the others I believe.

IMO it’s just about possible to compete on your way up thru the various tiers (aside from all the blatant multi’s/sandbaggers), but at C and certainly at TC/all tiered events you ain’t quite gonna make the top table no matter how good you are on mobile!

The sooner everyone’s on the same platform (or as close to as is possible), the better as far as I’m concerned.
As it stands right now we can all argue the toss over which parts of whichever game are easier but the numbers prove, quite emphatically, that PC players have always had the edge.

Bring on a (more) level playing field 👍

I use a bluetooth mouse on my iPad pro with for example a keyboard, my iPad sits like a laptop, definitely much easier than using you finger.

I play the WGT weeklies on PC and I would not dream of playing EA with the 9 Hole Single play with those 14 greens.

I fool with EA in Club Tournaments, but I have never played Championship greens on EA.

It greens seems a lot quicker on EA.

Got to keep plugging, its not going away

    DonCaron:
You need to chill, your being counter productive in your posts.

A difficult task considering the only game I play is being butchered.

    DonCaron:
You are a great player and could help a lot of us, if you tried.

No I'm not, but I can play. I help a lot of players when I join and play alt games, but find some are averse to suggestions that would improve their game.

I strongly disagree... The TOP players you speak of have been PC players since before the mobile format was even available....IMO If they were forced into the PCEA  version and given enough time the cream would again rise to the top ....My complaint is not with the "Difficultly" of the mobile platform at all as a matter of fact with just a handful of games under my belt on PCEA I actually find the play easier (especially the putting) there is MUCH less break involved...I chose not to play on it because of the look ...the arcade like feel...the small boxes with wind indicator....the hastle of changing clubs and shot type "click click click" ....and most of all the NO friends list in a drop down box on my game page.... accessing friends is just to time consuming...

No, the biggest difference is the meter.

In regards to putting, the dots need to be bigger, and the billboard currently used as an indicator needs to go on a diet.

I played on a tablet four years ago. The biggest issue playing on a mobile device is the meter. A tap on the screen lags in comparison to a mouse click. This coupled with a constant meter speed on mobile/PCEA causes a pc player playing PCEA to hit way too early.

The mobile game on a tablet is much easier to play than the PCEA game.

If I decide to continue playing, which is unlikely at this point in the development of the PCEA game, I'll have to play on an iPad.

    It will be difficult.

Mobile will continue to grow. The same for PCEA.

However, as it has been mentioned many times in the past, pc flash is not going anywhere. As long as users can find ways to access it, it will be there.

I find it difficult to believe that players that are used to scoring well with flash, will do anything out the norm in the future... especially when it comes to qualifying for major events.

    Don

Sorry Don the PC version and flash are old technology and as such will go away - old technology always goes away.  Put away your flip phone and your dial phone at home and move forward as you'll be forced to do.  Photographers said they would "never" give up film in their cameras lol - it's all digital now.  Same with 8 tracks, vinyl, CD's and blah blah blah.  Just like most players hair - it will go away.

There are far "more" top tier players on mobile than PC but time will tell once the switch is made completely.  Once there's a level playing field we'll see.  I have a feeling you'll be surprised.  There are so many really great players on mobile just waiting to prove a point to the "old" school pc players.  PC players have had an advantage for far too long.  Personally I don't think PC and Mobile players should compete against each other.  They should be completely separate because it's not the same game and PC scores are lower not because the players are better but because you can score lower on PC.  PC players have feasted too long winning all those credits in brackets and WGT tournaments, beating up on mobile players and it hasn't been fair, but WGT is finally doing something about it.  PC players won't be feasting much longer.  Times are a changin'.  You change with the times or you get left behind.
