The app (v.1.52.0.187401) does not close (respond) when you tap on the goback icon so you have to kill (force-terminate) it at the end each time.
Needs to be fixed in the next update.

The same has been happening to me. Been in touch with customer support. Sent them screenshots and told them the "back" button works on everything within the game but when trying to exit the app it does nothing. Hopefully and easy fix.

This issue has been resolved in the latest version of the mobile game. If your system isn't set to automatically upgrade the software, just go to Google Play and download the latest version.
It was fixed briefly, then is reoccurring since the latest update.
Nothing serious though, just annoying as the app keeps on running in background unless forcefully shut down.
