I don't imagine I'm the first to suggest these things, but wanted to toss in my $.02 here...
First, how about a practice mode? Every golfer I know goes to the range, and several work with pros to refine their game. Learning the vagaries of chipping, putting, playing the wind, etc, during WGT games, and only as chance permits, is rather arduous, and occasionally very frustrating. I'd love to have a chance to practice bunker shots, chipping from light rough/thick rough, and putting over various contours. This would be especially valuable after purchasing a new piece of equipment.
Also, there really should be a disincentive for players who regularly quit out of group games. This morning, the two rounds of alternate shot I've attempted to play have been cut short after only one hole by quitters, an experience that is, sadly, not unusual. WGT could, reasonably, fine players credits; perhaps a tiered system - warnings for the first few times a player quits, then a progressive set of penalties for each time afterward? Maybe even a suspension for the truly egregious offenders?
What do you all think?
